Mazda took the wraps off its redesigned 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback on Tuesday, a week before the car's world premiere at the 2008 Bologna Auto Show. The automaker released five photos of the hatchback, giving the curious a detailed look at what will be shown here on December 3.Expect to see the sedan and hatchback versions of the 2010 Mazda 3 on sale this spring.

The Euro-spec version of the 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback gets a newly developed 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine. It's the same one recently launched in the new Mazda 6 . Mazda said in a statement that the turbodiesel will meet the new Euro Stage 5 emissions regulations.
It will be offered in two variants: a high-power version with a maximum output of 182 horsepower and a standard-power version with a maximum output of 147 hp.
The Japanese automaker said all 2010 Mazda 3 five-door models will be equipped with the slightly larger 2.5-liter inline-4 rated at 167 hp and 168 pound-feet of torque. Options include Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry and push-button start.
