Hummer, General Motors’ giant SUV brand, has today gone on sale for the first time in the UK.Launch model the H3 is smaller than other cars in the Hummer line-up and has been designed with European markets in mind.The SUV goes on sale at the UK’s first official Hummer dealer, Bauer Millett in Manchester, as well as sites at Park Lane in London and in Birmingham.Dealer networkFurther Hummer dealerships are expected to open shortly as the brand hopes to establish a dealer network of between 8-12 sites by the end of 2009.Priced at £ £26,495 for the entry-level model, the H3 is available in three trim levels - the SE, Adventure and Luxury.Initially, all H3s will be offered with a five-cylinder 3.7-litre petrol engine but the manufacturer plans to introduce Biofuel and Diesel H3s within three years.Two transmissions are on offer – a five speed manual or a four-speed GM Hydra-Matic auto.
