
Toyota Motor Corp. will spend 100 billion yen ($871 million) to build a new factory in Japan for the first time in 17 years, the Nikkan Kogyo newspaper reported on its Web site, without saying where it obtained the information. The factory, which will start operation in 2009, will have annual production capacity of as much as 200,000 units, the newspaper said.
