With seating capacity for seven, Mitsubishi’s grand SUV Outlander is out for sale in Europe. The midsize 4x4 Outlander is offering as an excellent alternative to a people carrier. The advanced features presented by Mitsubishi in this unique Outlander are:
1. All Wheel Control Technology
2. Engine developed with Daimler Chrysler and Hyundai Motor Company.
3. Horsepower 140
4. Torque 2.0 litre diesel and 229 lb ft (310 NM).
5. Revamping by the end of 2007 includes: A 170 horsepower 2.4 litre petrol engine & a 2.2 litre common rail diesel that produces 156 horsepower and 280 lb ft (380 NM) for torque.
Note: An Outlander V6 Concept was also at the Geneva Motor Show to gauge consumer interest in petrol V6 for the European market, as well as the Prototype X, which debuted at the Detroit Auto Show. Mitsubishi will also launch the Lancer Sport saloon, its new entry in the C-segment in Frankfurt auto show this autumn.
