May 5, 2007 |16:54 | Mercedes Benz | New Launches By : Arshad Ali Khan

The 2008 Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster will hit the road by the end of 2007.
Just because SLR McLaren supercar sales are slowing in its fourth year on the market , Mercedes has improved it by chopping carbon fiber top off. The SLR Roadster will now be built alongside the coupe at McLaren’s Formula 1 factory in England, and will begin its deliveries to U.S. by this autumn (2007).
Mercedes claim that the Roadster will accelerate from zero to sixty in just 3.8 seconds with a terminal velocity of 207 miles per hour.
The roof, built with a new material, after manually unlatching, can be easily lowered by a touch of button. The new Roadster will be available in black, tan, or red In the same price range.
Prices for the 2008 SLR Roadster haven’t yet been announced, but are expected to be around $450,000 for coupes. Mercedes also announced that passengers can still converse at well over 120 mph with the top down. Also with a 6.5-liter, 617-hp supercharged V-8 under that obscenely long hood, the well-heeled drivers should be able to outrun the cops very nimbly and handily.

Wow, that''s a very unattractive nose! Looks like the extinct platypus, sorry MB, you should go for the rhinoplasty surgery on that one! Who is editing the designs at M-B lately? Not good.
All the rounded scoopy look, and then the hard V of the front air dam causes an underbite in need of braces.
I love the hood and side profile.
But what an afterthought mess that droopy nose makes, and the budget front air dam...terrible to ruin a beautiful face like this in an attempt to be different
